A BRCW Class 104 two-car DMU formed of cars M50528 & M50454 was approaching Bamber Bridge with a Preston to Colne service on June 4th 1982. The leading car, Driving Motor Second Lavatory M50528 was once part of three-car Manchester-Blackpool set, and still retained its white bodyside line from the days when it made countless journeys along the busy commuter route from the Fylde Coast to Manchester Victoria, until the 104's were ousted by cascaded Swindon built Class 120 units. Class 25 25133 was just visible to the right of the DMU, stood in the headshunt at the end of the goods loop/District Civil Engineers sidings.
