Over the years a number of BR promoted Day Excursions ran over the West Highland Line using DMUs, usually Metro Cammell sets as seen here as 1Z44 north of Garelochhead on 14-5-83. This was a Motherwell - Crianlarich special, with trailer brake second set 101311 at the front.
