Class 116 Erdington in August 1972. Erdington was my local station when staying with my aunt on trips down from Scotland. I'm glad I took this mundane every day shot now which is one of my favourites. A long frame derby Suburban DMU is arriving with a New Street to Four Oaks or Lichfield City working. In those days it wasn't a Cross-City line (in fact back then there were only a few services a day to Redditch) and trains took up valuable platform dwell time at BNS while drivers changed ends.
