Class 101 at Clayton West 14 April 1979. I'm glad that I was able to get here prior to closure. I had come up from Sheffield, via Deepcar in those days rather than Barnsley, and had a 45 minute wait at Shepley for the branch train from Huddersfield. I could have gone further north and then retraced my steps but I didn't want anything to go wrong with a missed connection which might scupper my plans. As it was the branch clung on to life for another years before closure.
