Class 116 DMU at Aynho Troughs

×

Details

A nine-car DMU formation working the 4.40pm Wolverhampton Low Level to Didcot seen at Aynho Troughs on 29 August 1962. At the front and rear are Derby-built suburban sets (later Class 116s), with a GRC&W Cross-Country set in the middle.

Leading is DMBS W50070 displaying 'Birmingham (Old Hill)' on the destination blind. It has set number 326 in the cab window, meaning the centre car is presumably 59026, the set would later become TY526/TS526.
