To mark the final closure of the Caernarvon Branch in February 1972 after it had been re-opened following the Menai Bridge Fire, a special Farewell Caernarvon Railtour was run by among others the WRC and the NWRC on the 5th of February 1972. The 6 car dmu involved is seen having just arrived in Caernarvon.
