An official image (Swindon Works negative 5CR/206) showing the first class smoking saloon in Trans-Pennine DMC E51952, which had fifteen seats. The same pattern of moquette had been used on the Ayrshire Class 126 DMUs. Through the swing door was a small non-smoking first class area with six seats. Dated 7th April 1960.
