With St Helens on the destination blind, a refurbished Class 108 Driving Motor Brake Second (DMBS) M51914 was leading an eight-car rake of 108's (4 x 2-car sets), passing Kirkham North Junction with an ECS working from Blackpool North on September 10th 1977.
