The experimental Davey-Paxman diesel electric unit 9828 + 9821 in Derby C&W Works, circa early August 1956. Note the cables coming out one of the bodyside windows going to the engine on 9828, also the marker light on the top of the cab has not yet been fitted. Derby Works negative 56/812.
