Class 126 units cross at Pinwherry, Ayrshire, on the Stranraer to Ayr line on 04/08/1973. Tokens are being exchanged with the southbound train to Stranraer (unit number unknown). The photograph is taken from Class 126 SC51050 which was working the 1134 Stranraer to Glasgow service. Pinwherry crossing was located between Barrhill and Girvan but has been closed for many years. I would appreciate if anyone can identify the unit number. The broken glass may help.
