In 1983 I went on a tour of all the mainline railways of Wales. Towards the end of the trip we found ourselves on the borders at Shrewsbury, and I took the opportunity of capturing this view of Shrewsbury cathedral over the River Severn. Also in view is the impressive LNWR Seven Bridge Junction signal box and, stabled in the sidings, a number of DMU sets - Class 101 and Class 120.
