A Derby Works image (negative 54/428) which shows brand new Derby Lightweight DMCL (or CO as it was then) E79500. The new and paint date on the vehicle end is 26 March 1954 and this was probably taken very soon after. Note the exhausts do not join above the gangway as they did on the later yellow diamond vehicles.
