A pair of stylish Class 101 Metro Cammell DMUs seen at Scarborough station. This was the scene at Scarborough in August 1974. We had gone up on our 2 week annual holiday, and I was always torn between my love of the beach and my love of the trains :) Although aged just 12, I was happy to roam around the station on my own, and in this shot I managed to capture a lined-up pair of the stylish Class 101 Met-Cam units, both with first class compartments leading. In the sidings in the distance one of the regular visiting Class 40s awaiting its next turn and a Mark 1 coach.
