A Derby Works image (negative 54/607) showing West Riding Derby Lightweight DMU E79503 / E79003 on the Wirksworth branch, a line used for test runs of new vehicles and for photographs. In comparison with earlier works images of these vehicles which all had silver engines this pair has black engines. Also the underframe equipment to this side of the nearest engine differs from earlier images (predominately E79500).
