On Easter Sunday (22 April) 1984 W55034 was used on shuttles on the freight-only Brentford branch. Here is a view from the train of I. K. Brunel's unique Three Bridges - the combined road, rail and canal bridges at Southall. The location is at the top of the flight of locks on the Grand Union Canal towards Norwood Green, where Windmill Lane crosses over the canal, and both cross over the old GWR Brentford branch. The combined bridge was designed by the one and only Isambard Kingdom Brunel, and is still often referred to locally as simply Windmill Bridge. As can be seen in this shot, the branch used to be double tracked along this section.
