Nowadays I think only train drivers get the benefit of the view of the Forth Rail Bridge from a train travelling over it. While the "first generation" diesel units operated it was often possible to get the view from the leading (or trailing) passenger saloon, as long as the driver had not dropped the window blinds. This view was taken on 10 May 1977 from a class 101 DMU.
