This is the front saloon of Sc51010, taken from the centre of the vehicle looking towards the cab end. The saloon was smoking and would have green seats, the rear saloon was non-smoking and would have light brown seats. The vehicle was an 'intermediate' Swindon Inter-City power car (DMSL) built for the Glasgow - Ayr/Girvan/Stranraer route. A Swindon Works image - negative 5CR/134, recorded in the Works photograph ledger as taken on 18 June 1959 yet the vehicle was new to Ayr in April so likely taken around that time.
