Brand New BR Derby Works C&W Co built M51678 inside the refueling shed at Leeds Neville Hill on 25 June 1960. This set was delivered in June 1960 and became Class 115, 51678 withdrawn in December 1991 and scrapped by Gwent Demolition at Margam in August 1992. The sets were built to operate from Marylebone but were delivered before alterations had been made to Marylebone depot to handle them, so when new they temporarily worked in other areas of the country with a few working in the Yorkshire area.
