The first stop on a shed and stabling point tour, by coach, on 10 September 1977 was Darlington. This is the view of the location looking south, with Darlington station in the background. The shed was full of DMUs, mostly of Classes 101/104. There were also 10 x Class 08s present, two of which can be seen on the right.
