Class 114 DTCL E56040 in Derby station on 27 November 1981. The driver had the low sun in his eyes and misread the signal and set off, hitting an incoming Class 45 with Mk1s in tow. The side-on collision caused it to derail and hit one of the Hulland Street bridge pillars. Courtesy of the Michael Boot Collection.
