Where trams now trundle. These are the DMU stabling sidings at Haymarket depot, put in place during 1972 when Leith Central depot closed. This view is from August 1987 with a solitary class 150 Sprinter amongst a sea of almost all Met Camm class 101s. These sidings are now used for storing short HST sets and the Edinburgh Tram lines to the Airport now cross Russell Road just where the picture was taken from.
