Taken at Prudhoe circa late 1970s, the unit had been put into the old coal siding opposite the signal box for some reason the night before. However, the driver managed to hit the buffer stop and push it into the road. This is the unit being recovered the next morning, the vehicle is thought to be E56136. The vehicle behind was presumably its partner at the time - a Class 101 DMBS.
