Great Central Railway London Marylebone 31st December 1975. Only 9 years since closure of the through route & 6 since total closure north of Rugby the GCR's 1897 London Extension was nothing more than a commuter line from Marylebone to Aylesbury in 1975. Little had changed since the diesel multiple units had taken over including the semaphore signalling as a train departs northwards. The other unit is stabled in the Down sidings. It's not obvious but the turntable also survived behind that set.
