The scene looks timeless with the semaphore signals, gas lamp with wire to adjust the flame, train crew with the driver (seated) wearing his grease-top and enamel signs. The Metro-Cammell DMU, although with small yellow warning panels is in the early blue livery. This is the centre (now disused) platform at Kings Norton and the date would be 1966/67.
