One of Tyseley's class 116 dmu's wanders along towards University station with the 12.50 Four Oaks - Longbridge service on 10 December 1981. The photograph is at the University of Birmingham and the canal is in the deep sandstone cutting that was hewn out with just picks and shovels when this canal was built. When the water is low it is possible to stand in the canal on little islands of sandstone next to the towpath.
