Arrived at Tyseley with a Henley in Arden to Birmingham Moor street service is a Derby subrban triple DMU. These units had just appeared at Tyseley to replace the 2-6-2 tanks on suburban services, 30 years later they were still at work. The picture shows the extent of track at Tyseley at this time, the DMU is at platform 4 and at the side are up and down freight lines and also tracks for locos to leave Tyseley shed and reverse into the carriage sidings. The building on the right has gone, but the walkway behind the fence is still in use. Taken with a Kodak Brownie 127 when I was 10.
