A class 127 hydraulic dmu heads north from St Pancras in the summer of 1979 and approaches the tunnels south of Kentish Town. The widened lines to the left are closed for reconstruction and electrification for the Bed-Pan scheme. The former goods lines to the right have been cleared so the new main line alignment can be put in. The North London line crosses over the rear of the train.
