Class 116 53850 is the leading car of these 2 sets which formed the 17.25 Peterborough - Birmingham on 9th August 1983. The view is taken looking east and features the still active dispatch yard for Stewart and Lloyds Bromford Bridge pipe works. The train is passing the site of Birmingham's Bromford Bridge horse racing course which was sold off for industrial use and housing. The pipe works closed and the sidings are now a container store.
