T421 (53878 + 59741 closest) is stabled at Worcester Shrub Hill Depot on Sunday morning, the 7th October 1990. DMUs remained in the Worcester area into the 1990s but were being replaced by Class 150s, the short lived class 155s and class 156s. Although they replaced many steam workings in the 1950s and 60s and therefore were not popular, many gave sterling service to the railways for 30 years. I first rode on them in the later half of the 1950s and their big advantage to young spotters like me was the view of steam if you could bag the front seats behind the driver!! Happy days!!
