The main duty of the Worcester DMU 'bubble' cars was to work between Worcester and Barnt Green where they connected with trains from Redditch, since services to BNS were routed via Kidderminster in 1989. On the 10th August 1989 55034 (T134) leaves Worcester Foregate Street with the 11.31 to Barnt Green. The diesel emissions were through the exhaust system on the front of one end of the DMU making that end rather ugly. In the distance are the semaphores guarding the flyover over the River Severn on the line to Malvern.
