51201 + 54347 stop at Water Orton station at 12.48 on the 9th April 1992, with on a Nottingham to Birmingham New Street stopper. The platform buildings, to me, should have been listed and preserved!! Sadly they were not, and the rumour was they were falling down and therefore could not be saved! For young rail enthusiasts they were an example of the quality and detail of stations built long ago!!
