On the 2nd June 1962 Peter was a passenger on an SLS railtour which was just rolling into Wednesbury Town station, he took this from the train window. The DMU is a Park Royal (later known as a Class 103) and it is heading for Walsall. Peter had ex-LNWR G1 48930 at the head of his train, standing in the middle road is 8F 48726. In the background is Ocker Hill power station and above the DMU is the top of the signal box can be glimpsed. Image taken by Peter Shoesmith.
