After many, many years of solid Class 115 DMU service a desire to eradicate blus asbestos contaminated Class 116 vehicles on Birmingham's Cross City line saw some Marylebone allocated stock move to Tyseley with a balance of vehicles coming south from depots in the North West, this bringing driving trailers of Classes 101 and 108 to the Chilterns probably for the first time. Here an afternoon service from Banbury - Marylebone takes the section signal at High Wycombe as it heads for London formed of a Class 115/108/101/115 combination, with the rear vehicle being 51654. Circa 1989.
