The 18:15 Matlock - Derby service arrives at its destination on 20th June 1989 formed of Tysley's BRCW Class 118 3 car set T317 consisting of 51314 + 59481 + 51329. Car W51314 and its partners W59481 + W51329 started their career at LA when brand new in July 1960. They remained on the WR at various depots - LA, BR and RG - until moving to the LMR at TS on 10 November 1987. Remaining in service at the large West Midlands depot for approx six and a half years they formed set T317 until it was taken out of service on 5 May 1994. Sometime around November 1994 51314 + 51329 (without the trailer car) were allocated to sandite duties as unit T006, and survived as such until withdrawal came on 27 May 1995 (51314) and 22 July 1995 (51329). The centre trailer 59481 was out of service by 2nd August 1993 and withdrawn six days later. All three vehicles were subsequently scrapped with the two Driving cars moving to Gwent Demolition and the trailer to MC Metals at Springburn.
