It is a chill day at Lapworth on 4 December 1982 as a fisherman peers glumly at his float which refuses to bob. The angler is at one of the large pounds which connect to the Stratford canal. Back in 1982 these pounds had a clear view of the railway but of course today the line is all but obscured by trees. Rattling along in the background a Class 116 with a Met-Camm centre car is at work on the 12.00 Birmingham Moor Street to Leamington Spa train.
