A Class 104 DMU in Edinburgh Waverley station, June 1978. Although unlikely today, excursions using standard DMUs such as this were not uncommon in the 1970s. This Class 104 was working between Glasgow Queen Street and Whitley Bay. The E-prefix to the number indicates it is probably one of the Class 104s then allocated to South Gosforth (GF) depot for North Tyneside services.
