A Cravens Class 105 2-car set with E56142 leading arrives at Cottingham with an evening service from Beverley to Hull on 12th July 1979. At this date Northgate crossing box still controlled the semaphore signals and the wooden gates, together with the crossover and ground discs shown in the photograph.
