Viewed through various bits of railway clutter, a Metro-Cammell Class 101 set with E50235 leading passes Gilberdyke junction on it's way to Hull on 5th April 1983. The semaphore arms were at this time located on short posts at the end of the Gilberdyke up platform. These signalled trains travelling along the up relief line and were replaced with more conventional signals when the quadruple lines were removed in the late 1980s.
