The driver of E53233 looks on as a group of fitters attempt to cure an ailment with the unit's engine at York on the night of 28th January 1988. This Metro-Cammell two-car set had been converted to a parcels unit, and a pile of mail sacks can be seen towards the rear of the saloon. Looks odd without the seats!
