Details

M51569 (BX489) part of the Buxton allocation is a 1960 built Derby Lightweight Class 108 DMCL, calls at Cheedale Halt with the Summer Sundays only Edale - Buxton ramber service on 6th September 1987, in this view heading towards Buxton rather inappropriately displaying Piccadilly on the destination blind. Cheedale Halt was on the Buxton - Great Rocks freight only line and was opened on the 5th July 1987, it was used by Peak Rail's Rambler's service from Edale-Buxton service, about 3 return trips a day, and closed after the last train had left on the 13th September 1987, so a week after I took this, the freight line is still open.
