On the 20th July 1986 one of Buxton's allocated 3-car class 108 dmu's with a 104 center car is seen operating Peak Rail Rambler's Sunday only Buxton-New Mills Central-Buxton service, which did about 3 return trips. The train has just passed through the 104 yard long tunnel underneath the L&NWR's Stockport-Buxton line just south of Chapel-en-le-Frith's station, and is travelling towards Buxton on the ex Midland Railway route to Derby, which is now freight only and serves to the quarries in the Buxton area.
