One of the Newton Heath allocated 'White Stripe' with red buffer beam class 104 BRC&W dmu's DMCL M53524 with M53464, stand at platform 14 at a now totally unrecognizable Manchester Victoria. These units with a White Strip down the body side indicated that they had modified suspension for fast running on express services to Blackpool, which probably meant very little when i took this with the influx of class 150 'Sprinter' new builds. 15th February 1985.
