Three different liveries - with some less common variations - are displayed between these two Class 101 units at Machynlleth, mid-Wales, around 1980. Nearest the camera, the DMBS while still in blue has nevertheless had the redundant lights / headcodes cleared from its cab front, and also sports the orange/red line across the top of the cab (not on the adjacent refurbished unit), as well as a prominent cantrail stripe along the vehicle length. Behind it, the blue & grey car appears to have an unusually small grey area around the windows, giving the appearance of a Class 108.
