A Class 105 formation emerges from Gasworks Tunnel with an off-peak terminating arrival, while a Class 55 Deltic sits in the stabling point on 06/08/1976. Class 125 suburban DMUs were used on these services during the peak periods due to the unsuitability of the Class 105s. All the DMUs were either withdrawn (Class 125s) or transferred away (Class 105s) later in the 1970s when the routes were electrified, allowing the use of Class 312 EMUs.
