A class 126 formation and a class 37 are seen at the site of Shields Road Station on 01-06-1982. The rear class 126 vehicle is DMS(L) Sc51008. The Swindon units by this time being phased out, but all the available units were pressed into service for special trains in connection with the Pope's visit to Glasgow on this day. The units were stored during the day in Smithy Lye, on the other side of the Shields Road bridge, behind the photo location.
