E56019 and E50019 are seen in Birmingham New Street on September 15th, 1962, forming the 4.23pm service to Derby. The DTC has an unusual shape of whiskers, the DMBS has two exhaust pipes, not the joined box Derby vehicles normally had in this era. Both vehicles carry electrification flashes.
