On the icy morning of 03/02/1978, a Class 101 departs from Seaham with the 0906 Newcastle-Middlesbrough. It appears the train had conveyed mail sacks, which are being handled onto the waiting mail van by three postal workers. Station posters are displayed on the signal box wall, which seems an odd place for the PayTrain guide (rather than the platforms).
