Gloucester Eastgate on 15/7/72 - three years before closure with a class 118 unit (set B477, presumably 51321 + 59473 + 51306) on a Swindon to Cheltenham service. Rationalisation was already taking place with only the island platform in use. A long miserable footbridge often frequented by pigeons doing what they know best linked Eastgate with Central station.
