The one that got away! Class 114 DMBS 53019 Sitting in the withdrawn siding at Tyseley Depot on 15/Jul/1992. This was one of the lucky ones, being subsequently preserved at the Midland Railway - Butterley and today is the only class 114 DMBS in existence in original passenger condition. The coloured dot next to the vehicle number was part of a coding system to denote which withdrawn vehicles were to be scrapped or had been sold for further use.
