The tail end of the 08.52 Cambridge - Birmingham with a Cambridge allocated Class 101 trailing, at Peterborough on March 15th, 1986. At this stage this may well have been locked out of use as was often the case with pairs of twin units. This was purely for revenue protection purposes and trailing units were often only unlocked when the leading unit became overloaded. Photo by Philip Mott.
